Mechanics Overview

The Sire doesn't directly attack but creates environmental hazards:

  • Poison pools spawn under players (move to avoid damage)
  • Vents must be destroyed to progress
  • Scions & Spawns must be dealt with

Phase Breakdown

Phase 1: Dormant (500-425 HP)

  • Sire sits dormant at the end of the room
  • Attack until it reaches 425 HP

Phase 2: Vents (425 HP)

  • Sire falls asleep and tentacles activate
  • Destroy all 4 vents using long-range attacks
  • Tentacles will melee you if you get too close
  • If vents aren't killed in time, Sire wakes up at 500 HP (vents stay damaged)

Phase 3: Active (425-250 HP)

  • Sire stands up and walks toward you
  • Gains a melee attack
  • Spawns Scions (15 HP) and Spawns (50 HP)
  • Use Ice Barrage to stack and kill minions efficiently

Phase 4: Final Stand (250-0 HP)

  • Sire moves to the middle of the room
  • Poison pools spawn much more frequently
  • Loses melee attack, focuses on spawning minions
  • Tentacles reactivate - stay in the middle to avoid melee damage

Strategy

  1. Attack Sire until 425 HP
  2. Kill all 4 vents with ranged/magic (avoid tentacles)
  3. Deal with Scions/Spawns while damaging Sire
  4. Keep moving to avoid poison pools
  5. Use Protect from Melee (reduces but doesn't prevent all damage)

Abyssal Darksire (Superior)

The superior version that spawns randomly with the Superior Slayer perk.
