Nex

Nex is a powerful boss with a unique multi-phase fight and a special MVP loot system. She deals additional damage when attacked with 1-hand crossbow weapons.

  • Access to Elite God Wars (50 kills on each GWD boss + 100 achievement points)

MVP Loot System​

Nex uses a unique drop system based on damage dealt:

Unique Drop Table: Pet, Torva pieces, Zaryte Vambraces, Ancient Hilt, Nihil Horn

How It Works:

  • Rank 1 (top DPS) rolls first at 1/400 for a unique
  • If Rank 1 receives a unique, the next player's chance is halved (1/800)
  • If Rank 2 also gets a unique, Rank 3 rolls at 1/1,600, and so on
  • If a rank doesn't get a unique, the next rank rolls at the normal 1/400 rate

Minimum Requirement: Any player who deals at least 50 damage qualifies for both regular and unique drops.

tip

All players who have dealt damage to Nex have a chance to receive unique drops, regardless of the amount of damage dealt.

Phases​

Phase 1 - Cough​

  • Nex targets the player with highest magic defense and applies a contagious stat-draining debuff
  • The debuff refreshes if spread to other players
  • At 80% HP, Nex becomes immune - kill minion Fumus (NW corner)

Phase 2 - Shadow​

  • Nex announces "Fear the shadow!" and places shadow attacks under players
  • These can hit other players if walked over
  • Nex deals ranged damage (prayer doesn't reduce it)
  • At 60% HP, kill minion Umbra (NE corner)

Phase 3 - Blood Sacrifice​

  • A player is targeted for sacrifice (outlined in red)
  • Run 7 tiles away or take moderate damage while Nex heals
  • Two Blood Reavers spawn - kill them or Nex absorbs them for healing
  • At 40% HP, kill minion Cruor (SW corner)

Phase 4 - Ice Prison​

  • Nex can trap players in ice prisons, disabling prayer
  • Re-enable magic protection quickly, or use a hammer to break ice pillars
  • Solo players can free themselves; otherwise another player must help
  • "Contain this" - area attack that damages and disables prayers
  • At 20% HP, kill minion Glacies (SE corner)

Phase 5 - Zaros​

  • No special mechanics to dodge
  • Nex uses Soul Split and melee protection, healing herself and reflecting melee damage
  • Nex heals back to 35% HP
  • Keep HP low since Nex can only hit 50% of your current max health (unless HP is 3 or below)

Strategy​

  • Pray magic throughout the entire fight
  • Use 1-hand crossbow weapons for bonus damage
  • In Phase 5, you can conserve supplies by keeping HP low
